Reverse Engineering
This involves measuring an object, observing & building a visual record of its various elements through advanced machines such as CMM, Laser Scanners & White Light Digitizers. The data so recorded is represented in point cloud & is integrated into various 3D application such as PRO-E using applications such as Image Ware. The model so built is further developed into formats that can be used in different applications.

Rapid Prototyping
This is the construction of physical objects using various technologies such as

  • SLS: - Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is the process that uses the heat of CO2 Lasers (guided across the bed by scanning systems) to sinter or melt thermoplastic powder. The prototypes developed meet strength requirements for functional components & even have the rubbery feel of soft components. This quality lead to their use even in end applications.
  • SLA - This process involves heating a filament of thermo plastic polymer & squeezing it out like a toothpaste tube to form RP layers.
    This process gives a high degree of accuracy & finish which is superior to other methods.
  • FDM - This process involves heating a filament of thermo plastic polymer & squeezing it out like a toothpaste tube to form RP layers.

Mould Making
Once the mold design has been finalized, it is raw materials are procured & the steel cutting process follows. This is done using advanced machinery such as:

  • Vaccum Forming - This process consists of heating thermoplastic sheet to a thermoformable plastic state & then applying vacuum & / mechanical aids to shape it to the contour of the mold.
    The machine we employ is that of Allen Shelly with a bed size of 1800 x 1800 mm.

  • Foaming - This is a process that involves the high-pressure mixing of two or more liquid components & injecting into a closed mold at low pressures. These products are characterized by their integral skin, cellular core & a high strength to weight ratio.

Welding

  • Ultrasonic Welding - It is a technique wherein two pieces of plastic are welded together seamlessly through the application of high frequency acoustic vibrations. The welding occurs from the heat caused by friction which in turn is caused the conversion of acoustic energy into heat energy.
    We posses Ultrasonic Welding machines with a capacity up to 2 KW & frequencies of 20,000 kHz.

  • Hot Plate Welding - This is a process, wherein two halves of plastics are forced onto either side of a hot plate & then after a designed time interval the hot plate is removed & the parts are pressed together. They are then held together till the heat fuses them together & they become one solid object.
    We posses the capability to melt any component with a size limit of 500 mm x 500 mm..

Decoration

  • Spray Painting - This is a process involving spraying of paints (PU / ACRYLIC) on the plastic parts after proper treatment in a controlled atmosphere. The parts are then baked.
